Mama's Boy

Here I am in various places in Arizona and Utah with my boy:

It has come to my attention recently that Griffin is turning into a Mama's boy. It is obvious. He reaches for me first, he cries when I give him to someone else (I'm talking family not acquaintances), I have to sneak out of the room, and I am the only one that can get him to bed in a decent amount of time. I, for one, am loving this. It feels awesome to know that someone truly does love you. Now, I know my family loves me and I feel their love too, but this is different, it is wholly unconditional. I know probably every mom goes through it at one time or another, and now I get to experience it and I treasure it. Now, aside from all that mushiness, it can be frustrating. Jason does get a little annoyed, I can see it. But there are times, like this morning for example, Jason came downstairs before he left for work, and Griffin just could not get enough of him. Jason wasn't even being goofy or even smiling (not a morning person), but Griffin was just jibber jabbering away at him and begging to be held. When Jason left out the front door though, Griffin didn't cry. He was in the safe embrace of his Mommy of course! I think it's really cute because one day I know he will grow up!

However, nothing will replace the bond of a Dad-Son relationship, especially with a Dad that is so hands-on like this one, and I have an extremely cute picture to prove it:

 I love it!

I have been fortunate enough to experience the loving mommy/baby moments up close and to prove it, I even took some of those pictures! He does love his mommy, and why wouldn't he? She is the best.
